With over 20 years experience in the landscape and construction industries at all levels, Stuart has been directly responsible for more than 3500 landscape and construction tenders worth over £400m with over £100m of this work secured. Contracts have varied from less than £10,000 to projects such as Greenwich Peninsula, valued at more than £5m.

After spending a decade in Landscape Contract Management, he was appointed as Business Development Director of English Landscapes, the national external works and maintenance company where he delivered annual compound growth of almost 15%, helping to turn English Landscapes into a market leader with sales of over £30m.

Since forming Waterlock in 2005, he has provided practical assistance to contractors, Local Authorities, NGOs, developers, architects, landscape architects and other construction professionals in a number of different areas.

He is a previous Technical Director of BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries)

In 2006 Stuart was selected to become a CABE Space Strategic Enabler.

CABE Space is the part of CABE dedicated to encouraging excellence in the planning, design, management and maintenance of parks and public space in England's towns and cities.
